And as Albury Wodonga Health is turning away walk-ins due to the lockdown, those wanting to be vaccinated will have to keep trying.
The 1800 675 398 hotline has crashed and earlier waits of more than one hour were quoted to Albury resident Geoff Slocomb.
"You get put into a queue, wait forever and then for some calls it's not even ringing," he said.
"It would be good if there was a hub in Albury we could go to.
"Or if you could jump online and book in, or ring a local number, that would be good."
The Border Mail has received a number of calls about the hotline crashing.
Albury Wodonga Health posted on its social media on midday that the "vaccination hub at High Street, Wodonga is currently experiencing high demand".

A 78-year-old seeking to be vaccinated at the hub earlier today told The Border Mail he was holding off, waiting for Pfizer to become available, but after seeing the outbreak in Melbourne decided he'd better not wait.
Wodonga resident Sarah Spiteri attempted to be vaccinated within the 40-49 age group, but was told by staff at the hub they needed confirmation.
"Because I haven't previously been able to be vaccinated, with the change, I thought I'd be down ... the response was they weren't sure of the changes yet and they were having lunch from 12 to 1pm - they said they would try to find out the updated information."
