Albury Gang Show, Albury Entertainment Centre, Saturday, June 19, 1.30pm and 7.30pm
Albury Gang Show can finally share its story this weekend after the coronavirus pandemic shelved plans last year. Scheduled for June 2020, the aptly-named The Never Starting Story will run two shows in Albury on Saturday. The annual variety show put on by Scouts and Guides was technically two years in the making. The cast of 45, aged 10 to 46, and the 25 crew come from both sides of the border. The show runs for two-and-a-half hours.
ISLAND HOME
Image and Imagination, GIGS, Wodonga, opening Saturday, June 19, 4pm to 6pm
GIGS - Gateway Island Gallery and Studios will open Image and Imagination on Saturday afternoon. With an easing of restrictions, the opening will go ahead as planned. The exhibition is an eclectic collection of works from Sarah Livingston, Anna Sauerbier, Jaya Murphy and Rose Brigden. For a sneak peek of the works visit gigsartgallery.com.au. The exhibition will open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, until July 3. Don't forget to bring a face mask.
SUNDAY FUNDAY
Sunday Session - Matt Cross, The Bended Elbow, Albury, Sunday, June 20, 4.30pm
Coming off the release of his debut album Take Your Time, Matt Cross will return to his home town to perform at The Bended Elbow Rooftop Beer Garden. Cross combines his love for keyboard and guitar to create moving instrumental compositions, taking inspiration from genres such as jazz and blues. WALKIE TALKIE
The Man Walk - Albury, Mr Benedict Cafe, Albury, Sunday, June 20, 8am
For two years The Man Walk - Albury and Wodonga have been making a difference to the lives of dads, husbands, brothers and cousins. They hosted three walks during Men's Mental Health Week. The Albury group will leave Mr Benedict Cafe on Sunday at 8am. Walk is 45-60 minutes.
Albury Wodonga Refugee Week Celebration 2021, QEII Square, Albury, Saturday, June 19, noon-3pm
Celebrate unity at the Albury Wodonga Refugee Week Celebration. Free performances, child-friendly activities and games. It will be officially opened at 12.30pm with free lunch featuring Bhutanese and Congolese food. All welcome.
