The roundabout to access Lavington from the Hume Highway northbound was busy with accompanying motorcyclists directing traffic around the man.
But he had not been involved in a two-car crash and it appears his bike lost traction just after 4pm.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said he was taken to Corowa Hospital in a stable condition.
"He was treated for neck and back pain," he said.
NSW Fire and Rescue remain on scene and have covered the road with sand, indicating some sort of spill.
