Nathan Troy Vercoe will now become eligible for release on parole on March 1, 2022, after the District Court upheld a severity appeal.

Magistrate Richard Funston had imposed a four-year term on Vercoe, 44, at a sentencing hearing in Albury Local Court on April 27.
That was with a non-parole period of two years, meaning he was not to be released - with time already served - until January 5, 2023.
Judge Sean Grant, hearing the appeal in Albury, confirmed the lower court's indicative terms, across 15 charges, that ranged from one month to 22 months.
He set an aggregate term of two years and six months, starting on July 2, 2020, with a non-parole period of 20 months.
The charges Vercoe previously pleaded guilty to before the Local Court included assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without their consent and of intimidation.
Vercoe attacked his partner on January 4, waking her about 9.30am with foul-mouthed abuse.
He got on top of on top of her as she lay in bed and tried to choke her with both hands.
Vercoe then pushed his knees into her chest as she struggled to free herself and told her: "I am going to f ... ing kill you."
