Meyer informed Raider officials of his bombshell decision earlier this week.
The influential big man has lodged a clearance to rejoin junior club Beaconsfield in the The AFL Outer East Premier Division.
And in a further blow coach Jarrod Hodgkin failed to get through training on Tuesday night with his ongoing knee complaint.
The reigning Morris medallist looks increasingly likely to coach from the sidelines for the rest of the season.

The Border Mail believes Hodgkin and club officials are privately fuming that Meyer wants out of Birallee Park with the Raiders still in finals contention.
Sitting in fifth spot with a 5-5 record they remain firmly in the mix to play finals which has added to the frustration of Meyer's decision.
They have been in frantic contact with Meyer over the past 24 hours trying to convince him to back-flip on his decision.
Beaconsfield are undefeated and the opportunity to win a flag with his hometown club in the twilight of his career was an enticing prospect that proved too hard to ignore for Meyer.
The news is a savage blow to the Raiders' finals aspirations.
Clinging to fifth spot on the ladder, Meyer has enjoyed an outstanding season at Birallee Park.
Despite turning 35 this year, Meyer has wound back the clock playing as a back-up ruckman and key forward.
The versatile big man would be in the top three in the club's best and fairest alongside Jydon Neagle.
