The Darker Days festival, which was due to start at Bright Brewery on Friday night, was postponed to a date yet to be determined.
Albury Entertainment Centre venue manager Brendan Maher said this year had been more challenging than 2020 for the arts and entertainment sector as changes in restrictions happened more often.
"We've also had a lot more shows on sale and a lot more tickets sold," he said.
"It's great that we've been able to reschedule many shows but it's been quite challenging for promoters and artists because tours need to line up and artists need to be still available."
Mr Maher said AEC was impacted by restrictions in both NSW and Victoria because half of its patrons lived south of the border.
He said when they split their audience for the Taste of Ireland into two shows last weekend, border closures presented other challenges.
"We got our venue capacity right but then the cast couldn't be guaranteed getting back home because of border closures," Mr Maher said.
