It was set to be a double-header on the Border on Saturday and Sunday, but both clubs reached an agreement to play one match for double points to allow Goulburn to return home on Saturday, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in NSW and Victoria.
Tim Jones, Tim Smith and Fenn Dawson are among the Victorian-based players ineligible for the hosts.
"We're playing for double points and understandably the Goulburn boys just want to come down and go home," Hockey Albury-Wodonga operations manager Cayte Campbell said.

"We think that's a better option as well.
"I'm not sure who will be in the team, but it will be all NSW boys."
This weekend's Hockey Albury-Wodonga matches have all been cancelled and won't be rescheduled as a number of fixtures are still to be caught up from the last Victorian lockdown announced in May.
"Because the local league is not playing, we're hoping to get players of the same sort of calibre to step up, mind you they haven't played much together," Campbell added.
The Spitfires start at 2pm.
