The Border joined teams from Wagga, Griffith, Tumut, Hay and Leeton.
There were six age groups, ranging from under six to 16s, in competitions for both boys and girls.
"It was about the kids having a game, they were the ones driving it, they wanted to play footy," Steamers junior president Dave Benson offered.
A number of players travelled more than two hours, highlighting their determination to enjoy the extravaganza.
Unfortunately though, not all of the Steamers' players were able to play due to Victoria's COVID lockdown.
"We wanted to make sure they were safe, we followed the COVID protocols and it's been a very successful day and the weather was kind to us as well," Benson added.
