Caitlyn Wardius and Caitlin Kotzur joined the A-grade side, who was one-player down due to Victoria's lockdown.

Kotzur received her first half in the senior team, while Wardius rose to the challenge after being placed in wing defence during the 51-26 win at Walla.

"They were a bit nervous but they did a really good job," Giants' coach Sue Trethowan said.

Jess Kotzur also continued her strong season in goal defence.

"She literally flew through the air and got some beautiful intercepts," Trethowan said.

The first quarter set the game up for the Giants who came out firing, restricting the Saints to just one-goal in the opening term.

Brock-Burrum coach Tahleah Herekiuha agreed the slow start was ultimately their downfall.

"For the other quarters it was a tussle, but they just got that lead in the first quarter," Herekiuha said.

"It took us a little bit longer to adapt to the wet weather, where as the Giants came out and adapted from the first whistle."

Captain Rachel Koschitzke was best on for the Saints.

While A-grade wasn't impacted by Victoria's lockdown, the Saints were forced to forfeit their B-grade match due to a lack of players.

However, the senior side was without goal shooter Liz Ehles due to a back injury.

Mikayla Hawkins stepped in to fill the shooting position.

"She (Ehles) will be out for a couple of weeks," Herekiuha said.

"The new shooters played well together, but they just haven't clicked as of yet."

Rand-Walbundrie-Walla now sits just inside the competition's top six, but Trethowan admits the next four rounds will put them to the test.

The Giants face Holbrook, Billabong Crows, CDBHU and Lockhart before Hume finals commence.

"We could get there, but it just depends what happens in the next four weeks," Trethowan said.

"We're just balancing at the moment.

"If they play their best netball than we've got a chance."

After doubt during the week as to whether the round would go ahead, both coaches agreed players were happy to be back on the court.

In other Hume league netball results, Osborne were too strong for Billabong Crows, Howlong defeated Holbrook, Lockhart rolled Culcairn and Murray Magpies downed CDHBU.

Henty made the call to forfeit their match against Jindera due to four of their players residing south of the border.

Osborne, Jindera, Lockhart, Crows, Howlong and Giants make up the top six.
