COVID has forced the club's hand since Wagga was recently excluded from the border bubble.
Given Victoria has declared NSW a 'red zone', it means a Wodonga-based player or employee would have to quarantine for 14 days after the game.
"Jon Huggett is currently working in Victoria, so he's out, Luke Olsson works for Albury-Wodonga Health, so he's out and there's others, we just wouldn't be able to field a team," club president Rick O'Connell suggested.
Kangaroos had even offered to play reduced numbers, but it still wasn't feasible.
The Roos and Temora are battling for fifth spot.
Meanwhile in rugby union, the Steamers don't face the same issues, hosting Wagga Ag College on Saturday.

The Steamers finish with two home games and a bye, but will be desperate that Wagga is returned to the border bubble by finals as their Victorian-based players couldn't play as they would then have to quarantine.
