Defence lawyer Graham Lamond said life was now much better for Matthew Bainbridge, having "become a father for the first time".
IN OTHER NEWS:
Bainbridge, 26, of Hibiscus Crescent, has pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing a prohibited drug and one of possessing equipment for administering a prohibited drug.
He came before Albury Court this week in the wake of an incident where a security guard found Bainbridge and his partner sleeping in a car in the West End Plaza underground car park on June 17 just before 1am.
Police tried to wake the pair by knocking on the car window, but initially got no response.
Eventually, they were able to wake Bainbridge, who was drowsy "and at times incoherent".
Police recovered 1.095 grams of methamphetamine, 1.4 grams of cannabis and an "ice" pipe.
Bainbridge was convicted and fined $1400.
