The competition resumes on Saturday after rounds 13 through 16 were cancelled and with the top five teams already confirmed for finals, some clubs might need to manufacture motivation levels.
Raiders are likely to tackle the elimination final in a fortnight, but Hodgkin says the final line-up isn't settled, starting at home against North Albury.
"The message to the boys is they're still playing for that spot in the team, whether it's a spot in the side or a spot in the midfield, that first key back, whatever position they're in," he suggested.
You'll be judged on your intensity and the intensity you bring to the game.

"You'll be judged on your intensity and the intensity you bring to the game."
Given it's the most remarkable season in the league's rich 128-year history, and that's coming off last year's no-show due to COVID, players in clubs heading for finals will be desperate to make sure all the effort to stay motivated during the two lockdowns is worth it with selection for all finals.
And while it seems like a lifetime ago now, given the world we live in, Raiders will remember their last game, a pulsating three-point win at home over Wodonga on July 10.
Wodonga was looking to snap a seven-match losing streak to its strongest rival and was just 85 seconds from an upset when clever forward Steve Jolliffe snapped a goal.
That win has now sealed Raiders' top five finish with the last four games being cancelled, making it a 14-round regular season.
The youthful outfit sits a win behind Wangaratta Rovers and Myrtleford with just the two rounds left.
