The Hawks have almost an entire squad out of action through the two senior grades.
"We did a count last night (Thursday) and we had 17 players unavailable, predominantly for restrictions reasons," football operations manager Barry Sullivan offered.
Rovers have a massive contingent from Melbourne, albeit many are local juniors, along with a handful from Sydney and the Gold Coast.
It means the club will field a young team, including debutant Josh O'Donohue.

"Josh is one of the people that I really admire for what he's been through, his resilience, he had his mum pass away unfortunately, he had a really serious injury which prevented him playing pretty much all this thirds (under 18s) when they were very successful," Sullivan said.
