League bosses hope to play round 21 next Sunday after today's games were cancelled but the conclusion of the season remains uncertain.
"No idea is off the table," AWFA president Mark Leman said.
"We're looking at different types of finals, if that's what we have to do.
"Maybe the teams that get knocked out, we give them another game the following week just to give those kids an extra game of football because we've missed so many weeks.
"We're not saying we're going to stick to the normal routine, there may be some variations.
"We've asked the clubs to go back to their members and committees and say 'what do you want the next six weeks to look like, what can we do differently?'

"When you run finals, every week, 50 percent of that competition is being knocked out so what do we do with that 50 percent?
"How do we give them more games? Is that a possibility? Do they want to have more games?
"It could be a Consolation Cup, who knows?"
Club presidents met via Zoom on Saturday night to discuss the next step.
"We've got an exciting cup final at Lavi Oval, which has never been done before," Leman said.
"That's something which came out of our meeting, a number of clubs said 'what a great way to finish the season, as tough as it's been, to do something completely different to create that community wellbeing.'
"Credit to the club presidents and secretaries because I've seen, this year more than ever, every club working a lot closer together for the benefit of our sport within the community."
