Young Border reinsman James McPherson has joined the stables of Menangle based trainer-driver Jason Grimson.

The 20-year-old had his first drive for the Grimson stable on Tuesday at Menangle.
He partnered Janalan who finished outside the placings.
McPherson is looking forward to taking the next step in his fledgling career.
"I've wanted to make the move for a while but have been waiting for the right opportunity," McPherson said.
"At the moment Jason's stable is growing and the quality is just unbelievable.
"I don't think there would be any other stable you would want to work for."
ALSO IN SPORT
McPherson has taken stablemates Rocky Creed and Stravinsky with him.
While Rusty Crackers will also join the team this week after winning 15 races for his sister Brooke.
McPherson believes the move will be a big boost to both his training and driving.
"The stable does a lot of racing mid-week but if I can get my A Grade (licence) it will be even better," he said.
