Osborne coach Sally Hunter has backed the Hume League's proposed revised finals series despite the ladder leaders losing their double chance.

The Tigers and Bulldogs would have been rewarded the safety net in a typical season.
"I think it's probably the fairest, most realistic way they could have done it," Hunter said.
"My opinion personally is who cares, if we get the chance to play."
After only missing two rounds of the home and away fixture, Hunter believes it would be disappointing not to see a result having already come so far.

"It would be pretty devastating given we've essentially had a normal season," she said.
"The Hume League's done a pretty good job to give us until October 2."
The Tigers have implemented a lockdown training routine to try and maintain momentum.
"After a massive preseason and a long season, we're just trying to keep people motivated for these last few weeks," Hunter said.
