A TRIP to East Albury McDonald's has proven costly for some people found to be in breach of public health orders because they were not in their own car.
Albury police said passengers were fined because they were not from the same household when stopped on Saturday night.
Similarly fines will be issued to those at events in Newport Crescent, Thurgoona, and Atkins Street, South Albury, which defied the orders on mass gatherings.

The latter included people who travelled from Wodonga to watch an AFL final.
Those in attendance at both events will each receive $1000 fines.
Police reported being overwhelmed with messages through Crimestoppers outlining suspected breaches of the public health orders instituted as part of the COVID lockdown in NSW.
