Of the new cases, 52 have already been linked to known clusters while 21 mystery cases are under investigation.
The Department of Health has not yet revealed how many cases were infectious while in the community.
26,702 vaccines were administered in the 24 hours to midnight while 41,395 tests were received.
NSW recorded 1218 cases on Sunday.
Yesterday the state recorded 92 new cases and Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said lockdown would not end as planned this week.

"With almost 100 cases today, where many of them remain mysteries, many of them were out in the community during their infectious period, it is not going to be possible for us to open up our Victorian community in just a couple of days' time," he said.
"We will get advice in coming days and a decision will be made soon then after."
"If there are things we can ease in regional Victoria, if there are decision we can make that return some freedoms to people, whether they be in regional Victoria or across the state, then of course we would follow that advice," he said.
