ALBURY Wodonga Health has welcomed Victoria's government cutting the gap between AstraZeneca doses from 12 to six weeks.

The move will allow people to be more quickly fully protected against COVID-19 at Wodonga's hub.
"We have good supplies of the vaccine at our Wodonga hub and encourage all eligible people to book," Albury Wodonga Health executive director public health unit Lucie Shanahan said.
"We have first and second dose appointments available every day, and new appointments are regularly added on the booking system."

Victorian Health Minister, Martin Foley said the reduced waiting time followed specialist advice and meant there would be no difference in intervals between AstraZeneca and Pfizer branded vaccines.
"It will be six weeks for AstraZeneca and for Pfizer bookings going forward," Mr Foley said.
