Parnell was snapped up by the Crows in the mid-season draft and has since impressed club officials to keep his spot on the rookie list.
The clever defender played 10 matches for Adelaide in the SANFL with his trademark pin-point kicking, decision making and speed from the back half enough to earn him another contract.
Parnell showed his versatility in the last round of the season when he moved forward and bobbed-up with two goals.

Adelaide list manager Justin Reid said he was looking forward to seeing the continued development of Parnell next year.
"Paddy has taken big steps towards an AFL career this season," Reid said.
"We are pleased with his development and are excited by what Paddy can produce next year with his first AFL pre-season under his belt."
Parnell, 19, started the season with both the Murray Bushrangers and Albury Tigers.
