Vaccine certificates will need to be shown at businesses when venues in NSW and Victoria reopen, but this is reasonably simple to do, and there is help available.
If you don't have a smartphone, or you don't want to sign up for any of the accounts, you'll need to get your vaccination history printed out - phone the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809, but expect it to take up to 14 days to be delivered.
For people with a smartphone in Victoria, getting your vaccine certificate linked up to the Service Victoria app is pretty easy, but you'll need a few things first.
Make sure the Service Victoria app is up-to-date, which for most people will be automatic.
There are two options - the Medicare Express Plus App, and MyGov.
Firstly, MyGov - this is a federal government website that links up Medicare, Australian Tax Office, Centrelink, and other services. If you don't already have an account, set one up - it won't take long.
Head back to the Service Victoria app - if it's fully updated, it'll immediately prompt you to link in your vaccine certificate. If not, down the bottom of the main page, next to the check-in button, will be a little box with a tick (1). Hit add certificate (2).
Log-in to MyGov (3), and make sure that Medicare is linked up, and if you need to, enter in your Medicare card number. When you get to the main Medicare page (4), hit Proof of vaccination, and you'll see your vaccination history and COVID-19 certificate (5).
There will be an option to link your passport to a QR code app - hit that (6), select the Service Victoria app, and hit save (7). You'll then be able to view the certificate in the app (8) - note the animated background and clock (9).
IN OTHER NEWS:
Next, the Medicare app - make sure you already have an account and the app's fully updated too.
Log-in to the app and tap proof of vaccination, then immunisation history, then tap share with check-in app.
You'll be prompted to agree to share it, then it will take you automatically back to the Service Victoria app - hit add certificate, and you're done. The certificate will be down the bottom next to the check-in button, the little box with a tick.

In NSW, you can download your vaccination certificate through the Medicare app or in Medicare online through MyGov.
Using the Medicare app:
Sign into the Medicare app (1). Click 'Proof of vaccinations' under 'Services' (2). Click 'View history' (3). Scroll down and select 'View COVID-19 digital certificate' (4) Select 'save to phone' OR go to the share button in the top right-hand corner and email the document to yourself.
If you're using your Medicare online account through myGov:
Sign in to your myGov account using a browser on your device. Select Medicare (1). Select View proof in Proof of vaccination (2). Select View history (3). Select your name (4).
Select either Add to Apple Wallet or Save to phone for Google Pay (5).
