
A Wangaratta resident has tested positive to COVID-19.
Northeast Health confirmed the Albury Wodonga Local Public Health Unit was currently managing a COVID positive patient in Wangaratta.
The patient in their 30s became positive as a result of close contact with a COVID positive person based outside the region.

The COVID positive person is currently isolating.
Contact tracing is underway.
Currently, the following Tier 1 exposure sites have been identified:
- Wangaratta RSL on 6 October from 4.30pm -5pm
- Pinsent Hotel on 6 October from 5.02pm - 8.30pm
- The Old Town and Country Tavern on 7 October from 5.34pm - 11pm
- The Old Town and Country Tavern on 6 October from 8.45pm - 11pm
Anyone who has visited a Tier 1 exposure site during the times listed must immediately isolate, get a COVID-19 test, and quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure.
Testing is available from 8.30am -4.30pm at the Wangaratta Showgrounds.
