Wodonga detectives are investigating an fire that damaged a car outside a home.
Two people were seen running from a burning Holden Jackaroo on Higginson Court about midnight on Thursday morning.
Firefighters were concerned the flames would spread to the nearby home and a garage.
The Fire Rescue Victoria crew managed to extinguish the blaze about 15 minutes after receiving the call.
The front of the vehicle was damaged.

The fire was extinguished before it could cause any significant damage to the blue vehicle.
Police were alerted the fire and established a crime scene.
Detective Senior Constable Jason Brown said investigators were looking into the incident.
"The fire was deliberately lit," he said.
"We're just after anyone with information to come forward."
