Brock-Burrum made a statement during CAW Hume's return on Saturday to turn the tables on last season's premiers.
Despite 106 runs from Henty's Shannon Terlich, it wasn't enough to get the Swampies over the line as Brock-Burrum overcame their total of 198 at Paech Oval.
Jordan Schilg was the best for the victors with the bat to achieve 82 runs, while also taking three wickets.
After falling short to the Swampies in last season's decider, it was payback for Brock-Burrum.
"It was a bit, but we would still much rather have won our last one," Dave Williams said.

Both sides looked slightly different, with Brock-Burrum welcoming back Zac Barrenchea and Mitch Koschitzke.
"Over the last few years we've had blokes go into town and now we're just starting to get them back," Williams said.
The Rock Yerong Creek, Walla and Rand were also round one winners.
