After playing netball for Myrtleford and footy for United and Alpine Lions this season, the multi-talented 22-year-old knows how important post-match recovery is.
"I didn't give myself a rest, I just went straight to the gym Monday morning at 6am and thought if I don't stop, I won't feel it," she said.
"I'm not sure if that's the best strategy.
"I'm pretty disciplined on recovery, I do a couple of ice baths and I always do a nice walk on Sunday afternoon."
Antonello was recently crowned runner-up in the North East Border Female Football League's open best and fairest count, finishing two votes behind Lavington's Zarlie Goldsworthy.
It marked her third season in the competition.
"I had always wanted to play, and when the opportunity came up with the women's league I thought, why not?" she said.
"I've still got a lot to learn, but that comes with time."
She's now also commenced training with Essendon's VFLW side and is joining the Hawks' W Academy.

She credits Terry Wallace for helping provide her with the opportunities as she looks to take the next step in her football career.
Antonello also plays basketball and has previously competed interstate for athletics, specialising in shot put, discus and javelin.
She believes her athletics background now benefits her on the footy field.
"I think the strength training I had to do for the throwing events definitely helped my physique for football," she said.
As a Saint, she scored 286 goals this season and managed 81 per cent accuracy from 12 games played.
After sliding into the A-grade competition's top five this season, Antonello has high hopes for Myrtleford next year.
"We had a great coach and team with a mix of youth and experience and I learnt a lot," she said.
"There's plenty of youth coming through and potential in the other grades."
