The star goal attack is coming off the back of her first official season as a Tiger after making the switch from Lavington.
Hillier led the Tigers' B-grade team this season where she worked alongside outgoing A-grade coach Sarah Moore.
"One of the major factors in crossing to Albury was knowing that the opportunity to coach would probably present sooner rather than later," Hillier said.
"Off the back of the last two Covid years, Sarah's done a tremendous job.
"The opportunity has probably come around a bit quicker than I expected."
Hillier has had to overcome season ending knee and Achillies injuries in recent years to get back out on court.

She's now expecting her first child, and while she hopes to be a playing coach at some stage, she isn't putting any pressure on herself.
"I do intend on getting back on the court, but there's no rush or timeline," she said.
Hillier is looking forward to working alongside fellow coaches Lauren Kerrins (B-grade), Lauren Coelli (C-grade) and Brigetta Hart (under-17s), who has returned to the club.
Albury finished the shortened season just outside the competition's top five.
"We'll definitely try to keep building on what we started this year," Hillier said.
"Most of the girls are keen to hang around again and you always hope that a few new faces pop by."
