Wodonga Raiders look to put gut-wrenching losses in CAW behind them

Raiders lost to East Albury in Cricket Albury-Wodonga's first Super Over and then suffered a last-ball loss to Tallangatta in the double header.

The club has been a perennial battler at provincial level, claiming seven of the past eight wooden spoons, but has improved markedly this season, although it still boasts only one win after eight rounds.

"We are close, but we're certainly not satisfied with not winning games," coach Stewart Pearce admitted.

"It's not good for us to say that was a great effort, we were hard to beat, we want to be on the other side of the ledger.

"We're still obviously trying to work out how to get over the line, but we're certainly in games 90 per cent of the time."
