Reynolds will team up with co-driver Luke Youlden, who he won the event with back in 2017.
"If we can find just a bit more front grip, we'll have a really good car for Sunday," he said.
"We'll work on finding a bit more turn in the next few sessions, but I'm really happy with where we are right now."
Reynolds recognises the importance of qualifying well.
"It's partly mental, knowing that you have a quick car that can give you the win. Having that high level of confidence is important, especially in the last hour.
"But track position early on is important too, it gives you options with your strategy which can win you this race, or lose it."
ALSO IN SPORT:
Reynolds and Youlden will work on different aspects of the car's set up in the lead up to Sunday afternoon, with Reynolds looking for outright speed for qualifying and Youlden working on long run durability.
"We know what we need to win, we understand each other, and basically, it just works," he said.
"We don't overthink it or get into the science of it, we just go with it.
"You're always trying to improve, its never ending, but I think we are maximising what we've got now and it's very competitive.
"No doubt things have got go your way, but if you keep it straight in the lead up and qualify well, you make your own luck and that's the difference between winning and having another story about what could have been."
