A truck driver has been accused of dangerous driving after allegedly hitting a cyclist in a crash that left the 79-year-old rider in a critical condition.
About 10.30am on Wednesday, emergency services were called to Thyra Road, near the corner of Ham Road, Moama following reports of a crash involving a truck and a cyclist.
The rider, a 79-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, where he remains in a critical condition.
A 53-year-old Melbourne man who was driving the truck was taken to Deniliquin Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol and the Crash Investigation Unit attended and established a crime scene.
Following his release from hospital, the truck driver was arrested and charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
His driver's licence was suspended, he was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Deniliquin Local Court on February 8.
Inquiries by the Crash Investigation Unit are continuing.
