
A Rutherglen High School captain with ambitions to become a doctor was crowned dux.
Dharma Kotzur notched a score of 98.15 to put her on track to achieve her dream.
"It was pretty difficult with a lot of remote learning, but I just soldiered on," she said.
"I wanted to go into medicine and I knew I needed those scores, but I just really like learning so I felt compelled to try my hardest anyway."

Meanwhile, Wangaratta's Galen Catholic College announced Archie Gemmill as its dux with a 97.65.
He was closely followed by Erin Chadban who scored 97.5, with a further two above 90.
"This group faced challenges that no other year 12 group has ever faced with not one school term in 2020 or 2021 running its full length with onsite classes," Galen principal Bernard Neal said.
"We are equally proud of all students who put in their best effort regardless of their subject scores and ATARs and whether they completed their VCE or VCAL."
