2 McGaffins Road, West Wodonga, was built in 1998 by Trentwood Homes owners Darko and Maria Gorupic and is being offered for sale for the first time.
It features four-bedrooms, including a parents' retreat which takes up an entire floor, and an oversized six-car garage as well as an in-ground pool and a separate self-contained entertainment house.
The home also features a 5kw solar system, automated irrigation, and a private lake and jetty.
IN OTHER NEWS:
William Bonnici of First National Real Estate Bonnici and Associates said the property was expected to fetch at least $2.5 million to $2.7 million and set a new record for the highest price paid for a home in Wodonga.
"When it sells, and it will sell, I've already had serious and strong inquiry on it, but when it does sell it will be worthy of the record price in Wodonga," he said.
"It's one of the best homes I've ever seen in 17 years selling up here."
Should it sell at or above the quoted price it will eclipse the current record of $2 million paid of 6 Caernarvon Court, sold by William Bonnici in October.
Over in West Albury, another high-end property, 41 Mcleod Court, is expected to fetch a significant price having attracted early interest.
The architecturally designed home was built in 2008 by Scott James.
The Mcleod Court home last sold in July 2020 for $1.825 million, but given the market strength a significantly higher price is expected this time around.
It features five-bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel benches and Miele appliances, as well as accommodation for six cars across a garage and carport, and an in-ground 12.5 metre swimming pool with views towards Monument Hill.
The home also features a 18kw solar system, polished concrete floors, double-glazed floor-to-ceiling windows, an automatic watering system and a home security system with cameras.
Selling agent Gabrielle Douglas, of McGrath Real Estate, said the property was selling by expression of interest and a price was not being made public.
"We've had a lot of interest already," she said.
"It's pretty schmick, obviously it was built in 2008 and has incredible views and style, and polished concrete floors. It's pretty much a one-off opportunity to secure something so spectacular.
"There's nothing else like it around."
Also up for grabs on the high-end market, is 113 Banyula Land, Ettamogah and 56 Hawksview Road, Wirlinga. Both properties were listed in November by Stean Nicholls.
