The Flying Fruit Fly Circus' 10-day festival featuring circus and cabaret took place from December 9 to 18 at Noreuil Park Oval and included satellite events.

Being 'under the big top' proved to be a key attraction.

Circus Chief Executive Richard Hull said more than 6500 tickets were sold, welcoming some 8000 festival goers through the gates.

"The community supported Borderville 2021 in their thousands and we are thrilled it was such a popular and joyous event," he said.

"Our local communities deserved a celebration, and they were so ready to enjoy a shared live experience again.

"We worked hard to deliver the safest event we could given current circumstances and I really want to acknowledge the kindness and thoughtfulness of our community."

Executive Producer Tahni Froudist said their team and performers had created something special.

Borderville is estimated to have generated nearly $500,000 in revenue, from government grants, box office and on-site sales and flow-on expenditure by visitors.

Borderville was made possible by the support of the Australian Government RISE Fund, NSW Regional Events Acceleration Fund, Albury Council, local business partners and a huge team of volunteers.
