Emergency services were called to the incident at Gundowring about 3.30pm.
The man, aged in his 20s, had become entangled in the tree a short time after launching and suffered lower body injuries.
IN OTHER NEWS:
He had to be freed and carried up a sleep slope to a waiting ambulance.
He was taken to Albury hospital in a stable condition.
The SES, CFA, Fire Rescue Victoria, police and paramedics were involved.
