A disheveled Lawrence Krause decided against trying for bail when he appeared in Albury Local Court yesterday morning.
“Didn’t Lawrence Krause appear before me on Wednesday?” magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim asked police prosecutor Sergeant Shannon Lewis and defence solicitor Sascha McCorriston.
This was initially set to go to a hearing, but negotiations between police and his solicitor in that case, Tim Hemsley, resulted in guilty pleas.
On those charges he will be sentenced on September 26, after Mr Abdul-Karim ordered a pre-sentence report.
They seized flash drives, hard drives and SD cards, which police claim contain child abuse material.
Krause, who fronted in jeans, a faded short-sleeved blue shirt and wearing handcuffs, has not entered a plea to two counts of possess child abuse material in relation to that police search.
He also faces a detention application charge, in connection to breaching bail.
“I confirm there is no application for release today,” Ms McCorriston told Mr Abdul-Karim during a brief mention of the case.
“I ask for the matters to go over for a couple of weeks for Legal Aid to pick these matters up.”
The matter was adjourned to August 14.
