The Sydney man caught on the Hume Freeway had the highest ever speed detected by the Wangaratta Highway patrol. “In their own words, they wanted to give it a little squeeze,” Sergeant Michael Connors said.

Christopher Quirk died in the early hours of March 11 after he was allegedly hit with a baseball bat and stabbed multiple times. Heath Parkinson is awaiting committal over the alleged murder.
3. TRUCKIE ABUSES CYCLISTS
A video filmed by truck driver Charlie Butt went viral in January after he posted the footage of himself swearing as he passed a group of bike riders at Granya. “This is why you f--wits get f---ing killed,” he said.
2. WORKPLACE TRAGEDY
Lyndon Quinlivan, 35, and Ben Pascall, 28, died after being overcome by gas at Ettamogah's Norske Skog factory during a routine maintenance shutdown on May 25, in an incident which led to an outpouring of grief.
