The ruse by Amanda Jane Bardy mirrored that committed by several other people who have already been dealt with by the court.
In Bardy's case, the court heard on Tuesday, the claim was over $5900 in phantom services by Dr Danny-Glen Raiz, of Deakin West in the ACT.
The 37-year-old's false claim realised her a Medicare refund of $4336.10.

For that the Thurgoona woman has pleaded guilty to a single charge of obtaining a financial advantage by deception.
In her defence, lawyer Mark Cronin told magistrate Tony Murray that a sentencing assessment report was not required.
This was supported by Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions representative Alexander von Treifeldt.
Sentencing will take place at a later date.
A similar matter on Tuesday did not proceed to prosecution after Mr Murray accepted the argument that the man, who reaped a similar amount from Medicare for anaethetist services not provided, was mentally ill at the time.
Mr Murray told Mr von Treifeldt that restitution for the false claim paid-out by Medicare, for a similar amount as in the Bardy case, could always be sought via a civil action.
An investigation by the federal Department of Human Services revealed that invoices for "purported" services by Dr Raiz had been submitted to Medicare "by numerous individuals".
Bardy submitted four claims with falsified invoices on December 19, 2017, for four services not provided by Dr Raiz.
The offending was detected after a data match.
