Murray United's reputation of producing elite young talent has been further enhanced with another of the club's juniors earning a trial with an A-League club.

Linus Bourke, who was on the radar of the Melbourne Victory scouts at last weekend's Box Hill game, even after sustaining an injury, was invited to trial with the A-League giants earlier this week.

The news comes after talented young goalkeepers at Murray, Jay Barker and Will Haberfield, both earned trials with Victory throughout the year.

Haberfield also played his part in this year's Football Victoria Best Football Image at the recent Gold Medal Night in Melbourne.
The under-16s and 18s keeper was captured by Murray United's club photographer Mark Watson making a magnificent save, which was duly recognised with the Les Shorrock Award.

It's the second year running the award has been won by a photographer from the Border region, with The Border Mail's Mark Jesser picking up the top honour in 2018 for his image of Brunswick City's Kenta Murakami celebrating a goal against Murray United.
