Albury Local Court on Monday heard Kevin Michael Kennedy underwent a "one-day rampage" on the Border and in Wagga in July.
He is facing 41 charges including multiple counts of aggravated break-and-enter, car theft, having goods suspected of being stolen, dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and more.
His bid for release from custody in Bathurst was knocked back by magistrate Rodney Brender.

The court heard Kennedy was in the grips of a serious ice addiction during the alleged offending, which involves two co-accused.
Magistrate Rodney Brender read through the allegations against Kennedy and didn't hesitate to deny bail.
"He rammed a police vehicle, they drew their firearms," he said of one allegation, and noted he had tried to get into someone's car while they were inside with their kids.
Kennedy was a "clear danger to the public", the court heard.
"It's a real crime spree," the magistrate said.
It's alleged Kennedy tried to steal an ATM in Wagga, stole fuel from the Norris Park IGA and fled to Wodonga.
He allegedly rammed two Albury police cars and one from Wodonga.
The court heard security camera footage, fingerprints and DNA allegedly linked him to the offending.
Mr Brender said custody was inevitable if the charges were proven.
He will return to court on December 10.
