Around 20 of the players at the Border's major junior billiards, snooker and 8 ball event are Australian representatives.

"I'd say a half because if they haven't represented in snooker (or billiards), they would have represented in 8 ball," Australian Billiards and Snooker Council president Frank Dewens said.
Around 40 of the country's best players will contest the four age divisions.
Queenslanders Lilly Meldrum and Xavier Daw contested the under 16 world snooker championships in Russia last August.
"Xavier's one of the most promising players we've got coming through the ranks, he represented Australia against New Zealand last year and acquitted himself quite well," Dewens said.

"We went over there for experience and really this is what it's all about at this young age, even going to the world championships we sort of throw them in at the deep end with the prospects of getting experience."
Daw also claimed the Queensland under 18 snooker championship last year.
