A truck driver has been hospitalised after crashing off the Hume Highway.

The truck left the right side of the highway about 30 kilometres north of Holbrook on Saturday morning.
The southbound vehicle hit several trees and came to a stop about 15 metres from the road.
Police, paramedics and firefighters attended the scene.

A substance which spilled onto the road needed to be cleaned up.
A spokesman for Fire and Rescue NSW said traffic had been impacted in one southbound lane.
"One person has been transported to hospital as a result of the crash," the spokesman said.
The vehicle and its load had to be hauled from the side of the road.
