Bin Busu's signing is a major boost to the Swans' premiership aspirations after being bundled out of the finals series in straight sets last season.
Bin Busu was formerly known as Daniel Cox before changing his name last year.
Chiltern co-coach Luke Brookes said it was exciting to add another dimension to the midfield rotations and inject some genuine leg speed.
"It's a great boost for us on the eve of the season," Brookes said.
"To be honest I'm yet to see him play but by all reports he is lightning quick and should thrive on the wide expanses of our big ground.
"He will play predominantly in the midfield and basically we will give him a licence to thrill and take the game on.
"I try to encourage all our players to take a few risks and roll the dice when they can."
IN OTHER NEWS
Chiltern suffered the biggest loss of the summer after power forward and co-coach Ricky Whitehead signed for reigning Goldfields Football League premier Kalgoorlie City.
However, the Swans have gone a long way towards covering the departure of their leading goalkicker.
Brookes believes the Swans will start the season among the premiership contenders as the chasing pack closes the gap on Thurgoona.
"I thought before we signed Zorran we were firmly in the flag mix," he said.
"But a recruit of his calibre is the icing on the cake and I'm confident we can finish top-three and do some serious damage in September."
Bin Busu has spent the past two seasons with the Swampies.
The explosive midfielder narrowly missed an AFL contract after he finished runner-up on Fox Footy show The Recruit in 2016.
His younger brother, Cedric, was drafted by Brisbane with pick 24 in 2016.
He has played 12 matches for the Lions and is contracted until the end of this season.
Brookes said former Swampie and Chiltern junior Cameron D'Amelio was instrumental in the Swans emerging with the prized signature of Bin Busu.
D'Amelio crossed to Chiltern last year and played two senior matches.
"Cam is a former junior and is back at the club now and is co-coach of our reserves," Brookes said.
"Cam played alongside Zorran at Henty in 2018 and the pair are good mates."
Chiltern face a tough opening fortnight to the season with clashes against Banawartha and Kiewa-Sandy Creek.
The Tigers and the Hawks are also widely tipped to be flag contenders.
