Michael Elmer, 56, was due to face a committal hearing in Wangaratta Magistrates Court on Wednesday, but that has been delayed until after the court lifts its restrictions on gathering for contested hearings.
It is the latest in a series of contested hearings and trials in the Supreme, County and Magistrates courts to be delayed.
Elmer did not appear in court for the adjournment on Wednesday.
