The Border association is affiliated with Hockey Victoria, and, following the Victorian government's decision to begin easing lockdown restrictions today, allowing groups of 10 to gather for outdoor activity, they hope to be training in a fortnight.
HAW sports operation manager Cayte Campbell said they're trying to be more proactive.

"We're looking at the AIS framework (for rebooting sport) as well as the COVID-19 plan for workplaces," Campbell said.
"We're sending something out to the board to try and get a plan together and discuss with the clubs for comment by the end of the week.
"We still have to talk to Albury and Wodonga councils because we use their facilities and they have to be happy with what's going on as well.
"We basically have to wait for the government to go to stage three before we can play.
"They say 10 people can do something together outside. Does that mean we can have 10 people on the field, 10 people at either end of the field or four groups on the field? We need further guidelines before we can safely go forward, making sure that we're not inadvertently breaking any rules."
Hockey Victoria released a statement on Monday recommending its affiliates hold off on resuming hockey activities until next week to allow them time to work with authorities and finalise guidelines for a return.
