The multi-talented 17-year-old has been selected in the Netball Victoria under-17 State Development Squad, just weeks after representing Victoria Country on the footy field.
Hay is one of eight players to be selected in the netball squad and will train with the team of 12 ahead of the National Championships to be held in Tasmania in July.
She admitted she's looking forward to rubbing shoulders with some of the best up-and-coming players in the state, under the guidance of head coach Tracey Brereton of Shepparton.
"I think it will be a good experience," Hay said.
It's also the Lavington defender's first season playing Ovens and Murray A-grade netball.
She took out the league's C-grade best and fairest award in 2019 and was set to make the step up into B-grade last season before the competition was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I'm really enjoying the challenge," she said.
Hay is also coming off the back of a NAB League girl's season with the Murray Bushrangers.
She recently joined Bushranger teammates Keeley Skepper and Maddy Gray to line-up for Vic Country.
"It was a step up from the Bushies and I really liked the pace of it," Hay said.
Her love of netball and football was passed down through her family, with the youngster admitting she's lucky to play both of the sports she's passionate about.
"My dad and brother are both really into footy," she said.
"Mum's the netball side and dad's the footy side.
"I love that I'm able to play both.
"I hope to do both for as long as I can."

Hay's mum Robyn said she's proud of what her daughter has achieved on both the court and field.
"The amount of hard work, effort and time she's put in to get to where she wants to get is phenomenal," she said.
"She's very motivated and driven and I think that's what gets her to where she wants to go, and hopefully where she wants to be in the future.
"To see her rewarded for all of her hard work is amazing."
Hay acknowledged the coaches she's had along the way to fulfilling her representative dreams.
Lavington has racked up three wins so far this season and will take on Corowa-Rutherglen at John Foord Oval this weekend.
Other round five match-ups will see Albury host Wangaratta, Myrtleford to meet Wodonga Raiders, Wangaratta Rovers to clash with Yarrawonga and Wodonga Bulldogs to go head-to-head with North Albury.
