Darren Bradshaw was the man in question, helping the Bulldogs dismantle Lavington in round six, 2009.
It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing - I've kicked eight or nine a couple of times but 10 is pretty special
- Cody Szust
So when Cody Szust reached double-figures against North Albury on Saturday, it was no surprise to hear the small forward describe his bag as the experience of a lifetime.
Szust was swamped by his team-mates when he booted his 10th early in the final term.
"I kicked a couple in the first quarter and it just flowed from there," he said. "The boys, by their skills, were hitting me on the chest every time.
"I've kicked eight or nine a couple of times but 10, it's pretty special. It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing but if it wasn't for the boys passing them off to me, I wouldn't have kicked 10 goals.
"It just shows how important it is to play as a team."
Coming into the game on the back of a disappointing Anzac Day defeat to neighbours Wodonga Raiders, the Bulldogs bounced back in style.
Ethan Redcliffe helped himself to eight goals, with Oscar Willding and Tom Johnson terrific as Wodonga dominated all over the ground.
"Sometimes you don't know how the boys are going to respond but obviously they've taken everything on board during the week," Szust said.
"It's going to build the morale, especially for the next couple of games.
"We've got a couple of tough games coming up and having a big win like that, a young group, the confidence is going to build so it was an important game for us.
