The reigning premiers defeated Rand-Walbundrie-Walla by five goals, in what was a strong last quarter performance.
Defenders Harriet Simpson and Brooke Davies were on fire early, with Paige Moloney and Ricki Robb digging deep late in the game.
"They stood tall when it counted," Ferguson said.

The Crows have so far only fallen to Osborne, who along with Jindera, are undefeated this season.
"That hurt, but it's also keeping us humble and making us work a bit harder," Ferguson said.
"We're quite a new side, and after having that year and half off, we feel like we're doing well."
Other round five Hume netball winners were CDHBU, Lockhart, Osborne, Howlong and Jindera.
