Police received reports in November last year that a 14-year-old girl had allegedly been sexually assaulted by a man known to her, with the matter referred to detectives at the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad.
Investigations lead to the arrest of a 43-year-old man at a home in Blackheath at about 7.30am on March 24.

The man was taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with three counts of have sexual intercourse with child (between 14 and 16 years) and procure child for unlawful sexual activity.
Police will allege in court the man sexually assaulted the girl on multiple occasions between September and November 2020.
He appeared at Katoomba Local Court on March 24, where he was formally refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court today.
