The women's side is yet to claim a win this season and has a looming clash with competition leaders Frankston on Sunday.
"It's going to be hard," Paps said.
"I expect us to be the best we can be and to work as hard as we can.
"Their attitudes towards the games have been what I've asked of them.
"They fight until the end, and that's the main thing we want.
"We can only control what we can control so that we can give ourselves a chance."

Young gun Mia Puntoriero will be absent from the side after suffering a suspected broken collar bone during their most recent clash against Waverly Falcons.
After one of her best games of the season, Paps hopes Ruby Watson will continue to build on her game.
"She'll look to get some extended minutes again in the double header," Paps said.
The Bandits meet Ringwood on Saturday before facing the Blues.
