Miss Amelie Gourmet won a gold medal in Australia's Best Pie Competition 2021 with its Lamb Shank, Garlic and Rosemary Gourmet Pie.
Miss Amelie Gourmet co-owner David Kapay welcomed the national award on Wednesday.
Kapay said he was pleased Australia's Best Pie Competition judges rated his venture's most popular pie highly.
"We use local lamb shanks, which are marinated for 24 hours, and then braised for 15 hours in a lamb stock with garlic and rosemary," he said.
"We use a lot of fresh garlic to finish the braise."
Having entered the competition for the first time, Kapay said they were thrilled with their success.
Miss Amelie Gourmet bagged four medals overall in the national competition, which revealed category winners in Sydney recently.
It took out silver for Beef Cheek and Red Wine Pie and Thai Red Curry Duck Pie as well as bronze for their Tassy Scallop and King Salmon Chowder variety.
"It's good news to come out of a difficult time for the industry," Kapay said.
