The Corowa-Rutherglen young gun made his senior Ovens and Murray debut in a drought-breaking win against Lavington and was rewarded for his strong form at the Murray Bushrangers with selection into the Allies squad.
Eyers was due to be in a training camp this month to earn a place in the side for the AFL Under-19 National Championships in Queensland, but Greater Sydney's ongoing COVID lockdown has put that on hold.
But for now, all the talented big man can do is bide his time and continue to impress for the Bushies.
"I'll wait and see what happens, but hopefully I can get a game or some training in with them (Allies) if I'm lucky enough," Eyers said.
"We probably do the most travel out of all the sides in the comp, but I'm really enjoying it and have been playing some good footy.
"I'm mainly playing at centre half-forward and chipping in with some ruck work when they need me there."

His father, Brendan, played 301 games for Corowa-Rutherglen in a decorated Ovens and Murray career, and Eyers hopes he can add to his three senior appearances this year after a dream debut.
"It (the debut) was great because it was a home game against Lavi and we beat them for the first time in 10 years," he said.
"It was a pretty special day and I had all the family there.
"If there's some more byes for Bushies, I'll be able to get back and play a few more games later in the year."
The Bushrangers head to Craigieburn today to face Tasmania Devils.
"We haven't seen a lot of them, but with a full strength side I think we'll really push them," Eyers said.
